This photograph was taken while I was walking towards the Rotunda Villa, in Vicenza. It was a secluded and peaceful path. Beyond this wall was the garden of the Villa Nani, (the Dwarfs Villa), called this way, because along the edge of the garden wall was a series of stone dwarfs, put there as ornamental feature.
This image represents the starts of my visual project “Long Way Home”, a visual diary of beautiful and atmospheric places that lead me towards my ideal abode,…I am still searching, still travelling towards it.
